Melanie Amacker

Hi, my name is Melanie Amacker. Thank You for visiting my site. I am 42 years old and was born in Mississippi. After attending Pearl River Community College on dance team, show choir, and band scholarships, I left Mississippi and did the unexpected. I joined the United States Air Force. 

In the USAF, I worked in the electronics field, in Satellite Communications or "Missle Warning," as it was known. While in the Air Force, I married my true love, Terry, and we quickly had our first child, Tyler.

I exited the USAF, had my second child, Hannah, then my husband joined the US Army.  We have moved quite a bit in our marriage and military life. We have lived in New Mexico, Colorado, Mississippi, Georgia, and now, Maryland. While in the Army, our third, and last child, Jadon was born. 

I have had a few jobs over the years, including having the privilege of being a "stay at home" mom to my children. I have attended 4 seperate colleges throughout this time, trying to figure out "what I want to be when I grow up". No matter where my path has led, I have continuously returned to "The Arts".  

Photography has turned into a passion that has led to requests and jobs along the way. 

I have been honored to take: Senior Portraits, acting head shots, sports team/individual shots, sports action shots, baby portraits, birthday parties, travel, and nature shots.

I have recently had four of my travel shots chosen and published in "Leonessa Magazine".
